Day 1 : Delhi - Arrival at Delhi.
Our
local tour manager will give a warm welcome at the airport. Transfer to your
hotel. Relax.
Being India's capital Delhi is major gateway to the country, contemporary Delhi
is a bustling metropolis which successfully combines in its fold the ancient
and the modern. Its strategic location was one of the prime reasons why successive
dynasties chose it as their seat of power. The division between new and old
delhi is the distinction between the capitals of the British and the mughals
respectively.
Overnight at Delhi.
Day 2 : Arrival at Leh.
Transfer to Hotel for 24 hours complete rest for acclimatization.
Day 3 : After breakfast half day sightseeing of Sankar Compa located
in the valley and the home of Lamas who belong to Yellow sect and worship his
holiness the Dalai Lama.
Visit Shanti Stupa: A Buddhist religious monument built by Indian Based Jananese
Monk whose intention was to spread Buddhism by building such stupa's through
out the world.
Leh Palace: A 17th century palace which looks like miniature version of Potala
of Lahasa.
Day 4 : Leh
After
breakfast, full day sightseeing for Leh i.e. of Shey, Thicksey and Hemis.
Shey was the summer capital of Ladakh Kings and is famous for 36 ft. high statue
of Lord Buddha made of copper and covered with gold.
Thicksey: The Twellve storied monastery located on the island mountain.
Hemis: Little away from Leh, is this wealthiest monastery in terms of heritage
and serenity. This monastery of Ladakh belongs to Red Sect. The place is famous
for cultural festival and fair during summer.
Evening return to hotel followed by dinner and over night stay.
Day 5 : After Breakfast Half Day Trip to Khardungla (18880 fts.) the
world highest Motorable road and gateway to Siachen Glacier. Afternoon free
for shopping. Evening visit to Ladakhi Family. Dinner at Hotel.
Day 6 : Check out from Hotel and transfer to the airport.
